The Original PlayStation 4 is the launch model that was released in February 2013. It was known as the most advanced gaming console of its time, boasting 500GB of storage space.
This eighth-generation console competed with Nintendo’s Wii U, Switch, and Microsoft’s Xbox One.
The PS4 came with a powerful graphics processor that could produce the most high-quality images. It supported high dynamic range (HDR) and was compatible with multiple television models.

Sony released the PlayStation 4 Slim in September 2016. This smaller version of the PS4, model number CUH-2000, came with a rounded matte finish body instead of the usual two-tone finish. It was actually 40% smaller than the original PS4.
